Neuro-Sama is a VTuber and a streamer who is powered by an artificial intelligence system. Vedal, a programmer and AI developer, created Neuro. Her personality and responses are generative with the help of machine learning models. The model enables her to interact with chat, respond to donations, and sometimes even sing. Vedal987 created and manages Neuro’s Twitch channel, which has amassed over 684,000 followers.
Recently, the VTuber broke the record for Twitch Hype Train, amassing over 85,000 subscribers and two million bits to get to level 111. The record was previously held by PirateSoftware, who got to level 106.
Vedal created Neuro-Sama in 2019, initially trained as a neural network, to play the rhythm game Osu! After a long break on Twitch, Vedal debuted Neuro-Sama in 2022 with a chatbot and a live2D model. The VTuber initially gained recognition for Osu! gameplay, after which she diversified into other content genres like Just Chatting on Twitch. She was embroiled in controversy in 2023 after she made remarks about some sensitive events, like the Holocaust.
Due to her unscripted nature, she makes some unpredictable comments. However, Vedal has improved the chat filter and muted several sensitive words. Neuro also sings after Vedal improvised her neural model.

Vedal constantly moderates the streams, not only moderating the chat but also checking Neuro’s next response. He then incorporated a moderation team to handle the chat. In 2023, Neuro-Sama diversified into other games, including Pokemon and Minecraft. Vedal continuously improved Neuro over time to provide better and more human-like responses. Vedal also started appearing on streams alongside Neuro, where they both had real-time conversations. Asmongold reacted to the VTuber and creator interacting with each other.
Neuro-Sama’s Growth on Twitch
Neuro is considered one of the most popular AI VTubers on Twitch. With over 13.85 million hours watched on Twitch, Neuro boasts a concurrent live viewership of 5,000-7,000 viewers. At the end of 2023, Neuro-Sama held a Subathon which lasted over 17 days. During the streaming marathon, Neuro achieved the status of the most-watched VTuber across all major live-streaming platforms.
The streamer is currently hosting her annual livestream marathon. She announced new merch, a new music video, and a new lava lamp with integrated internet.
