In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Ukouh Shrine is the first you’ll encounter and where Link learns his first power, the Ultrahand Ability.
This short guide explains how to solve all puzzles in Ukouh Shrine, find the chest, and complete the first Link’s challenge in the game. During this quest, Link also learns his first power, the Ultrahand ability, which allows him to connect and disconnect any structure.
Ukouh Shrine – Puzzle Solutions in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Ukouh shrine is located in the North just next to the Temple of Time and is available at the beginning of the game. For that reason easy to find. Its completion is required to get access to old Teplle.
Inside you’ll be approached by one of the ancient civilisation’s voices, who also saved Link and thanks to his hand, our hero can learn new powers.
First Puzzle Solution
To solve the first Ukouh Shrine platform puzzle, follow the steps:
- Locate the flat rectangular platform
- Press the “L” button and choose your new power, the Ultrahand ability
- Use the power platform and move it above the chasm to create a custom bridge
- Let go of it by pressing “B” and move to the next puzzle
Second Puzzle Solution and chest location
In the second Puzzle platform, you need to connect two platforms to create an even longer bridge and get to the other side of the next chasm. Complete the following
- Find two rectangular platforms.
- Use the Ultrahand ability on one of them and position it directly in front of the other – to create a long rectangular shape.
- Confirm the connection with the “A” button
- Move your custom long bridge above the chasm to get to the other side.
A chest is on the pillar before you, just after the second puzzle in the Ukouh Shrine. Use your custom bridge to create a sloping approach and get your loot.
Third Puzzle Solution
The third puzzle is probably the most challenging and will teach you how to utilise, rotate and connect objects with Ultrahand ability. You’ll find a distinct platform and two big hooks next to the final filled with lava chasm. That’s where the last challenge start. Complete the following steps:
- Connect two hooks to both sides of the platform using the Ultrahand ability
- Ensure that both hooks face the same direction.
- Move the custom platform on the zip line.
- Quickly Jump on the platform before it leaves. – It will start to move slowly, so you should have plenty of time to climb on it.
Lastly, approach the shrine and follow the story to complete the Ukouh Shrine!
