There are seven weapons available in Throne and Liberty, each providing a set of passive and active skills.

Players can customize their playstyle by combining different weapons instead of choosing traditional MMO RPG classes. This gives players more freedom to define their class/playstyle skills based on their preferred weapon.

What are active and passive skills?

Skills are unique to each weapon type. Passive skills add bonuses and buffs, while active skills can be equipped to your quick access bar and used to deal extra damage or do specific actions. Active skills apply to you, your enemies, or your group.

How to Learn New Skills?

Some skills can be learned when you progress or from unique books. Like skills, those books have a rarity, from green to purple being the highest level. You can craft them, or you will receive them as a reward in the game.

Leveling Up Skills

You can level up skills to make them more powerful. Each additional rank increases damage, critical chance, or offers many other benefits. Once your skill is ready to level up, you will notice an arrow pointing up on the skill icon. The maximum level you can reach on each skill is 5. Leveling up skills is straightforward and includes using them or acquiring books.

The Dagger in Throne and Liberty is a melee weapon type that provides skills with high burst damage, making it the perfect choice for players looking to create an assassin class character. The Dagger skills centered around increasing critical chance, burst damage, speed, and delivering multiple hits in rapid succession.

The Inject Venom active ability poisons the target, which can be further increased by bonus damage to poisoned targets by more advanced high-level skills such as Fatal Stigma or Umbral Spirit. Those excellent skills make daggers playstyle focused on poison, one of the unique in the game.

In Throne and Liberty, Crossbow is a ranged weapon known for its high single-target damage skills and debuff potential. It is a popular choice among players who prefer a class with a more precise and tactical approach. It is handy when fighting bosses or other high-value targets that require focused damage.

Crossbow skills are versatile, for example, Selfless Diffusion increases Move Speed, Melee Evasion, Ranged Evasion, and Magic Evasion, while Mana Exchange skill increases Mana recovery. That makes Crossbow a good DPS weapon if you need something range and want it to complement your primary weapon.

The Longbow is the ultimate weapon in Throne and Liberty, suitable for any class or style and perfect as the most effective primary weapon. It delivers high damage output, exceptional range and skills, and optimized off-hand usage. Combining it with a Dagger or Staff can result in the highest possible DPS, and equipping a Wand as an offhand weapon in PvP battles provides crowd control and healing abilities.

Longbow skills focus on damage, providing a very survival playstyle, far away from the enemies and danger of being hit. From level 3, you can get a fantastic passive skill, a rapid-fire stance that will significantly increase the speed of fairing arrows, and each additional buff or active skill will even further increase the damage and critical chance.

Purifying Touch

Blitz

Arrow Vortex

The Greatsword is handy for tank players who seek to maximize their damage output and is also a great choice for PvP combat due to its crowd-control abilities. If you prefer playing characters whose skills resemble a melee damage dealer class MMORPGs, then the Greatsword is the perfect main-hand weapon for you in Throne and Liberty.

Thanks to active skills like Stunning Blow, you can stun enemies, and as you progress for longer. This will lock out the enemies from the fighting for a short period of time, giving your team a window to regroup or quickly finish off the foe.

Also, skills like DaVinci’s Courage or Indomitable Armor will buff your defenses, health points, and health regeneration, particularly useful in the front lines for melee DPS, as well as a tank.

Throne and Liberty Staff Weapon Gameplay and Class Playstyle

In Throne and Liberty, the Staff is a versatile weapon that excels at clearing out weaker enemies, making it useful for power leveling. However, it falls short on high-pressure single-target damage and is more effective as a supporting weapon. However, its fantastic AoE damage capabilities make it valuable in many situations.

Additionally, Staff can cast elemental spells that, depending on the element, can debuff enemies. For example, the Frost Smokescreen skill is an ice element and can slow down and apply a weakened status effect to enemies in the area of effect. Many groups will want at least one player with the staff as an additional weapon to provide skills to defeat groups of smaller enemies in Throne and Liberty.

Throne and Liberty Sword and Shield Weapon - Gameplay and Class Playstyle

Sword and Shield is the best weapon for those who prioritize survivability. It may not deal much damage, but it provides the highest survivability in Throne and Liberty. In PvE and PvP, every group needs a tank, and this weapon resembles the heavy warrior playstyle.

In Throne and Liberty, the sword and shield weapon and skill tree solely focus on health boosts, blocking, and damage reduction. There are a few good damage skills, but don’t expect them to match the damage output of longbows or daggers. Skill passives also increase health and provide the ability to buff team members and endure significant incoming damage.

Counter Barrier

Throne and Liberty Wand and Tome Weapon Gameplay and Class Playstyle

Wand and Tome is an ideal skill tree for solo players or healers in Throne and Liberty, as it heals and controls crowds. It’s a support weapon in groups and can boost survivability for PvPers and solo players. However, its drawback is its focus on support and lack of damage.

Similar to a sword and shield wand, it doesn’t offer many burst damage skills. However, its uniqueness lies in the ability to buff and provide efficient healing to the group and the player. Passive skills such as Noble Revival and the Devotion and Emptiness from early levels increase skill heal, making the wand and tome preferable weapon skills for the healer role.
