We can’t wait to finally play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and dive into a fantastic word of Hyrule, so for all interested, we present Release Time and Timezones.
First announced as a sequel to the much beloved The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at the E3 convention in 2019, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an upcoming 2023 action-adventure game developed by Nintendo EPD and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch.
Release Time and Timezones for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
All players will be able to start playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at:
- 9 PM PDT/PST May 11, 2023 – Thursday
- 5 AM GMT/BST May 12, 2023 – Friday
- 12 AM EDT/EST on May 12, 2023 – Friday
- 2 PM AEST May 12, 2023 – Friday

Can You Preload Tears of the Kingdom?
You can preload Tears of the Kingdom if you have purchased a digital game edition from the Nintendo eShop. Nintendo fans are waiting eagerly as the launch day for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom draws near.
Ensure you have 18.2 GB of free space on your Switch console to install the new Zelda game. The download process should start automatically, and the game should be added to your library. You won’t be able to access or play the game until the release on May 12th!
There will likely be a small patch that you’ll need to download on the release day before you can jump into the game for the first time. However, it should be a small update, and you will be a step ahead of others and jumping into Hyrule much more quickly!
